Marilyn Bellert manages Northern Illinois University’s Center for P-20 Engagement in her position as associate director. Since becoming the associate director in 2001, she has built a P-20 program that is now recognized across regional, state, and national levels for the diversity and quality of its initiatives, including STEAM Works programs, the Northern Illinois Regional P-20 Network for college and career readiness, numerous school partnerships, professional development activities such as edcamp, and state and federal grant projects. In FY 15, P-20 activities engaged more than 100,000 residents of the area. Marilyn holds a B.A. and an M.A. in English and served for 20 years as an elected and appointed education policy maker.
