Kristin Brynteson is the director of professional development. Kristin supports interdisciplinary STEAM education through annual events such as edcamp Northern Illinois and the STEAMing It Up! Conference, as well as ongoing professional development opportunities throughout the state. She also works with state partners to support educators as they use data, technology, and open educational resources to support student success. As an instructor in the College of Education, she has worked with K-12 pre-service and in-service teachers as they use new technologies to integrate Visual Literacy, PBL, and STEAM into their classroom activities. She is a former industrial engineer with a M.S. and Ed.D. in instructional technology from Northern Illinois University.
